Westminster & Royal London Highlights Tour
We meet beside the statue of Emmeline Pankhurst, where the walk begins with a lively introduction to the women who reshaped British democracy. With the Palace of Westminster rising beside us, the scene is set for a journey through power, protest and pageantry, all told with energy, humour and a touch of theatrical flair.
Palace of Westminster & Big Ben
From here we take in the grandeur of Parliament itself, including the vast medieval Westminster Hall, which has witnessed historic trials and moments that shaped the country. Towering above it all stands Big Ben, one of London’s most recognisable icons. You’ll discover why the famous clock tower was built, how its great bell earned its nickname and and the craftsmanship behind its 19th-century design.
Parliament Square & Westminster Abbey
We stroll around Parliament Square, surrounded by statues of world changing figures such as Winston Churchill and Mahatma Gandhi, before arriving at the breathtaking Westminster Abbey. Here we explore its role in royal coronations, weddings and burials. You’ll hear tales of kings and queens, poets and pioneers.
St James' Park
The walk continues onto Birdcage Walk, where the city opens into the greenery of St James's Park. Here the atmosphere softens as we wander through one of London’s most beautiful royal parks. It is a moment to take in the scenery, spot the famous pelicans and hear stories of royal life, scandal and spectacle connected to the park and the surrounding area.
St James' Palace
Emerging from the park, we arrive at the historic St James's Palace. As one of London’s oldest working royal residences, the palace offers a remarkable glimpse into centuries of royal tradition, long before Buckingham Palace became the monarch’s main home. You’ll hear the stories behind royal marriages, historic announcements and grand state occasions that have unfolded within these red brick walls.
Buckingham Palace
The journey then builds towards its grand finale as we approach The Mall, the ceremonial avenue leading to Buckingham Palace. Against the backdrop of royal pageantry and national celebration, the tour concludes with the story of the palace, the monarchy and the traditions that continue to capture the imagination of visitors from around the world.
